We're all born with a Soul's Purpose, a reason for Being.
I'm very clear that I want my children and grandchildren to always know that:
Spirit is Real, healing is always possible, and we all have a Soul's Purpose.
Finding and fulfilling our Purpose, though, is a multi-layered experience... dare I say, even a multi-dimensional experience!
One layer of Purpose is what Dandapani calls "your core purpose." He says this one cannot be attached to any person, place, or basically anything that can go away. And I love this!
Why?
Because everything here on Earth is finite, it has an end and can go away, move away, die, change drastically, etc... and then what? We'd end up feeling lost, purposeless, and directionless.
I've felt this profoundly as half my "nest" of kids and grandkids moved away. There was a grief of missing the daily life we enjoyed, but also, I had placed a lot of my purpose and focus on them. I found new ways to connect across distance, but the truth is, their absence brought me back to my Core Purpose.
Since I was 9 years old, I wanted to feel close to God. I didn't grow up religious, but I knew I wanted, no... yearned for a deep sense of feeling close to God. I had no idea how to do it! It took a long time for me to figure out!!
But that 1st layer of Purpose... the Core Purpose... is like the core of an onion where from new life springs forth.
I'd love for Purpose to taste more like a parfait, but I'm too highly aware of all the hot, stinging tears so many of us shed on our path to discovering and fulfilling our Soul's Purpose!
Onions are tear-jerkingly pungent, but they're also anti-microbial, demulcent, and save lives... so I'm declaring that I believe our Soul's Purpose is much like an onion! Ha!
Anti-microbial is akin to setting boundaries and establishing our priorities. Knowing your Core Purpose helps you know your priorities and more easily set boundaries!!
Demulcent is how soothing and moistening our Soul's Purpose experienced feels to our desert-dry, parched, and spasmodic experience of human life without purpose, direction, and fulfillment.
Life-saving is exactly that. Knowing our Core Purpose and working to connect with it daily can save our lives and those we interact with through our love, compassion, connection, and service.
So, my Core Purpose is to feel close to God, or connect with The Divine. I'm deeply, wholly grateful for the many experiences I've had throughout my life to feel this tangible, all-loving closeness with The Divine in many Spirit forms.
For those who aren't spiritual, maybe their Core Purpose would be becoming the best version of themselves.
For others, maybe it's experiencing Christ Consciousness, or The Oneness.
Are you catching a glimpse, or full knowing of your Core Purpose?
Another layer of Soul Purpose is the concept that being alive is enough.
It's hard work, this staying alive thing. This concept suggests that you're good enough exactly as you are, and I believe that! You're worthy of all the love of the universe exactly as you are, right now, in every moment.
Accepting the Truth of who you really are, as a human and a Soul that your angels adore, tend to, and Guide, is very close to experiencing my perception of Core Purpose.
And so then, after knowing your Core Purpose and if you accept you're lovable and good enough as-is, then what?
What do you WANT to do with your life?
How do you WANT to contribute?
Does anything sound fun, or amazing, or mesmerizing, or profoundly fulfilling to you?
I noticed in every DND game I play with my son, I always always always wanna be some sort of magical healer!! Haha! I've read all my options many times, but none sound as FUN & fulfilling as being a healer! If you've ever had the opportunity to design and create your own character for a game, what type of character do you feel really drawn to? This might be a clue for you!!
If you're a dreamer, many of your dreams are likely Guiding you on your "next best step," but you haven't taken it, so you still feel stuck, lost, or confused... yet still feel the inner pull...
Many of us feel a natural inner drive for more.
"There must be more to life than this!"
"I know I'm meant to do more with my life than this!"
And I'm sure you're right!
People with this strong inner drive to do more, be more, give more, serve more, create more... they tend to have a LOT of Gift Markings in their fingerprints & palms! There are a possible 18 Gift Markings, and many of my clients have 11-13 of them!! They feel a LOT of inner pressure to use those Gifts (but didn't know why before their hand reading) and often they're experiencing the natural consequences of NOT using their Gifts... relationship issues/intimacy breakdown, health issues, money issues, emotional turbulence, and more.

But you can start with your dreams or just your feelings... often your dreams are showing you signs, symbols, and the feelings that need your attention, energy, and resolution.
Our unhealed, incomplete grief and trauma shrink our capacity to grow and serve because our body knows we need to use our energy to heal ourselves first, at least this layer being shown through dreams or obvious life events!
Take that next step to heal the layer being shown to you.
Trust that your Purpose is unfolding every day. It may not always look like it, or the way you want it to look, but every experience in life is an opportunity to lean into your faith within the many layers of your Soul Purpose onion.
